About Me

My photo
Laura Belle
To write my first blog, I've chosen my great-grandmother's name as my display name. She was born in 1893 and taught me the love of cooking and poetry (well, perhaps doggerel, but there it is). My first impulse is to let my job define me, but I'm resisting. Instead I'll let it be known that I'm rather a shy person who happens to find herself in a very public position. After many careers, I've finally settled into teaching, and even after 16 years I still feel that I'm an actress on a stage because the shy me couldn't possibly be a teacher!
